Know someone aged between 16 and 24 with an entrepreneurial dream? Introduce them to Manaaki.io and the opportunity to win $1000.
Manaaki.io, an online business support network and community forum, was born in response to those first disturbing days of lockdown in March 2020.
Initially created as a business advisory platform, Manaaki.io soon turned into a national movement of Kiwis rallying together to support and encourage each other to become a strong, savvy network of small and medium business owners.
Since March 2020, more than 300,000 Kiwis have engaged with Manaaki, and the community was nominated for Kiwibank’s New Zealander of the Year award.
Their latest venture is You Do You – a competition aimed at 16 – 24-year-olds with a burning desire and a big dream.
Knowing first-hand how hard it can be to get an idea off the ground, Manaaki.io are offering budding go-getters a $1000 head start.
Wanna blow up on Spotify? Mint 10,000 NFTs and make millions? Sell your art? Get a Michelin star? Become a YouTuber? You do you!
To get involved, applicants only need to make a video, a TikTok, or a post that showcases their dream, then add a quick write-up explaining who they are and where they’re from.
The Manaaki.io community will help decide a winner to receive a $1000 boost and the competition will run for 10 weeks in total.
Even if entrants don’t win the money, their dream will get in front of literally hundreds of industry gurus, influencers, sports stars, music producers, business leaders and mentors keen to help potential big shots get a chance to shine.
There’s also an opportunity for Umbrellar Connect readers to join Manaaki.io and offer a helping hand to entrepreneurial Rangatahi.
Simply join the community at the link below, keep an eye out for a dream you can help bring to life and offer up your time or networks to that person to make it a reality.
