As part of its ongoing investigation into the Bitcoin hack last week, Twitter has now confirmed the hackers did access private messages of some high profile Twitter accounts.
Twitter said that “for up to 36 of the 130 targeted accounts, the attackers accessed the DM inbox”. The network added they are now “actively working on communicating directly” with those accounts affected.
Twitter has yet to clarify whether passwords were accessed, as it continues to investigate the massive security breach.
