Save up your pocket money - Samsung's new range of smartphones will be here by the end of the month.
Samsung has announced its new range of Galaxy smartphones – and they’ll be here in just a few weeks.
In news that will delight Samsung fans, pre-orders have opened on the company’s new range of flagship phones that will land in New Zealand on January 29.
Three phones were announced by the tech giant at CES today: the Galaxy S21, the S21+ and the S21 Ultra. All are 5G enabled.
The S21 has a price tag of $1399, while the S21+ is $1799.
The S21 Ultra, which includes an S Pen stylus for the first time, is Samsung’s most expensive phone at $2199.

The new phones boast many improvements over last year’s S20 range, including an edge-to-edge dynamic Amoled 2X Infinity-O display, as well as 120Hz refresh rate, said to make scrolling smoother.
Each phone also comes with an eye comfort shield, which will adjust for blue light based on the time of day and the type of content being viewed.
Camera improvements include 8K video, slow-mo and director’s view options, super steady capture at 60fps, a redeveloped portrait mode and space zoom.
For the extra money, the S21 Ultra offers a 6.8-inch screen, improved durability with Gorilla Glass, more camera options and an S-Pen, borrowed from Samsung’s Note range of phones. It comes in five colour options: black, silver, titanium, navy and brown.
Samsung boss TM Roh, president and head of mobile communications business, said Covid-19 and lockdown orders had changed the way Samsung designed their three new phones.
“We are living in a mobile-first world,” he said.
“With so many of us working remotely and spending more time at home, we wanted to deliver a smartphone experience that meets the rigorous multimedia demands of our continuously changing routines.”

Samsung also announced a new set of premiere wireless headphones, the Galaxy Buds Pro, which are available now.
Every pre-order for the S21 range will receive a free pair and a new screen replacement for up to a year.
