The Azure VMware Solution comes to Australia and New Zealand at a time when the pandemic has prompted many organisations to think about their data centre assets and the benefits of moving legacy systems and computing workloads to the cloud.

No re-training required

AVS allows you to seamlessly move VMware-based workloads from your data centre to Azure and integrate your VMware environment with Azure. It enables you to keep managing your existing environments with the same VMware tools you already know while modernizing your applications with Azure native services.

AVS is accessible through the Azure Portal, with monthly billing, support and account representation for the VMware-certified solution provided by Microsoft.

It gives customers the ability to modernize their VMware workloads at their own pace through integration with Azure services such as Azure Active Directory, Azure AI, and Analytics enabling new, intelligent experiences.

“It’s an incredibly powerful set of services,” says Reddie. “You get access to the AI suite – the whole IoT portfolio, which includes many tools that allow our customers to build and modernize their applications.”

“We really see AVS as helping our customers accelerate their journey to the cloud, enabling them to easily move their VMware workloads to Azure and increase productivity with elasticity, scale, and fast provisioning cycles,” says Richard Warner, Microsoft’s Azure Advance Migration Sales Lead for Asia Pacific.
